Viewing The Green Light

 Viewing The Green Light

I hadn’t lived in Oregon for very long when one of my daughters told me about “the green light”. After that day, I made many journeys to find that for myself. Yes, I found the green light and many times. Now I will also share with you, how you can belief “the Green Light” too. Please pass this along so it can be enjoyed by many people since it can be viewed in many other places. Many people I have asked if they know of the green light at sunset, are not aware of this. Don’t be surprised if very few people you talk to, say they have actually viewed it themselves. You will start them looking by educating everyone of this sight.

Conditions have to be specific to idea the green light, so don’t be wretched if you do not see it the first time you seek to find it. The seasons do not have any bearing on its visibility, so it can possibly been seen in the spring, summer, fall or winter. The weather has a huge impact on visibility to find the green light at sunset. A sure day, void of low clouds, fog or sea mist is a set up for the possibility of viewing the green light. High clouds, as long as they are not hanging on the horizon, will not interfere with viewing the green light that evening.

Binoculars or other visual assists will not be famous to view the green light at sunset. For eye safety and health, I recommend not staring at the setting sun for a long period of time. Position yourself ahead of time so you will know when to open looking for the green light. Allow 10 minutes before the sunset actually takes place to be ready to view the green light. A glance, at the horizon, now and then, will keep you ready for the viewing you are, hopefully able to see.

A distinct, unobstructed place where you can easily see the horizon is necessary to notion the green light at sunset. I opinion it several times at several beach shores along the Pacific coast line in Oregon. Looking toward the west is necessary since the sun sets in the west here.

As the sun dips down toward the horizon let it get nearly three quarters of the way into the body of water, before you look and then search for away too. This will protect the safety of your eyes while you are looking to view the green light. Keep scanning the fireball as it sinks further into the water until only a sliver is seen from what once was the total sphere of the sun. As the last portion of the top of the sun goes into the water, then watch carefully to view the green light. The thought will only last a second or two causing you to see a petite dot of green. Now go and view the green light at sunset. Then please approach relieve and leave me a comment about your wonderful experience.
